Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Top-of-Rack Network Administrator to support Army enclave operations by maintaining ToR switching infrastructure and ensuring reliable connectivity between site compute environments and the NEC to enterprise WAN across multiple security domains.

The role requires expertise in configuring Cisco ToR switches, NDFC, and related devices, with a focus on VLANs, STP, and security controls to sustain mission-critical services.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience maintaining Top-of-Rack switching platforms and LAN/WAN connectivity.
• Experience with enclave protocols and datacenter networking.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Global Enterprise Fabric Top-of-Rack switching platforms and stable connectivity between servers, storage, and WAN.
• Interfaces with customers and enterprise partners to resolve datacenter network issues.
• Performs configuration, maintenance, and OS/firmware upgrades on Cisco ToR switches and Cisco NDFC.
• Demonstrates proficiency with VLANs, trunking, LACP, STP, SNMP, Spanning Tree.
• Supports ASIs and planned maintenance for ToR enclave switching.
• Applies STIGs and cybersecurity controls to maintain compliance.
• Reviews and maintains network documentation including diagrams and RFCs.
• Conducts routine diagnostics and health checks on ToR switches and uplinks.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and contributes to modernization efforts.
