Altec is seeking a Tools & Accessories Sales Support to assist Altec Supply Account Managers with price quotes, order entry, and technical product support. The role involves handling quotes, updating account histories, coordinating with sales and warehouse teams, and resolving billing inquiries to ensure on-time shipments.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred) and 2+ years in customer service or sales support, with strong communication and detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare price quotes, order entry, and technical support for customers and Account Managers.
• Maintain account history for each order.
• Support outside sales team.
• Maintain customer and competitor history files.
• Assist in tracking shipments and other customer inquiries such as back orders or billing discrepancies.
• Work directly with customers to obtain billing information, price quotes, and orders while covering for Account Managers.
• Work with warehouse personnel to ensure critical orders ship on time.
• Handle/answer calls routed from the Call Center.
• All other duties as assigned.

Major Responsibilities

• Prepare price quotes, order entry, and technical support for customers and Account Managers


• Maintain account history for each order


• Support outside sales team


• Maintain customer and competitor history files


• Assist in tracking shipments and other customer inquiries such as back orders or billing discrepancies


• Work directly with customers to obtain specific billing information, price quotes, and orders while covering for Account Managers


• Work with warehouse personnel to ensure critical orders ship on time


• Handle/answer calls routed from the Call Center


• All other duties as assigned

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• High School Diploma or GED required


• Bachelor’s Degree preferred


• Minimum of two years industry specific or Customer Service required


• Above average attention to detail required


• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines required


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required


• PC skills using spreadsheet, word processing, and other office management applications required


• Two years successful experience in a related sales position preferred
