Job summary

Altec is seeking a Tools & Accessories Sales Support professional to assist Account Managers with price quotes, order entry, and technical product support.

The role includes maintaining account history, supporting outside sales, and tracking shipments while addressing billing discrepancies and customer inquiries to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years industry specific or Customer Service required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• PC skills using spreadsheet and word processing applications required.

The Tools & Accessories Sales Support will assist Altec Supply Account Managers with price quotes, order entry, and technical product support.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare price quotes, order entry, and technical support for customers and Account Managers
• Maintain account history for each order
• Support outside sales team
• Maintain customer and competitor history files
• Assist in tracking shipments and other customer inquiries such as back orders or billing discrepancies
• Work directly with customers to obtain specific billing information, price quotes, and orders while covering for Account Managers
• Work with warehouse personnel to ensure critical orders ship on time
• Handle/answer calls routed from the Call Center
• All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of two years industry specific or Customer Service required
• Above average attention to detail required
• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• PC skills using spreadsheet, word processing, and other office management applications required
• Two years successful experience in a related sales position preferred
