Job summary

Cretex Medical in Minnesota is seeking a Toolroom Planner to develop and manage long-range production schedules, balance capacity with demand, and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and other teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.

The role focuses on monitoring material availability, coordinating with sales and customer service on priorities, and supporting the Quality System and ISO requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a scheduling, planning, or project management role.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage production schedules in ERP system to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize operational efficiency.
• Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support customer service levels, inventory turn goals, and capacity utilization requirements.
• Maintain capacity planning.
• Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
• Partner with sales and customer service on incoming orders and customer priorities.
• Monitor production and shipping performance and pro-actively initiates actions to ensure delivery commitments are fulfilled.
• Participate in tier meetings to provide schedule updates to operations, engineering, and quality.
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
• Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve.
• Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
• Participate in required company meetings.
• Maintain an organized work area (5S).
• Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
• Complete all other work duties as assigned.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
