KONE is seeking a Toolroom Coordinator in Allen, TX. You will track installation tools, maintain the tool room, certify and repair tools, and support tool program activities to ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

The role requires 1+ years as a machinist, 5S/LEAN is a plus, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong English and tool-tracking aptitude are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Machinist experience with 1+ years in tool environments.
• Proficient English for troubleshooting and orders via phone/email.
• Experience with 5S and LEAN is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage installation tools and tooling inventory.
• Maintain the tool room area and keep it organized.
• Certify tools and handle repairs as needed.
• Utilize tool tracking software to log usage and status.
• Perform other duties to support the tool program.

Job Overview

• Receive and inspect tools

• Repair and certify tools as required - Welding and fabrication

• Schedule and ship tools as required by local installation offices

• Perform scheduled maintenance on tools

• Track and follow up on outstanding/overdue tool usage

• Maintain log or other documentation regarding tooling

Job Duties

As our Toolroom Coordinator you will be responsible for tracking installation tools, maintaining tool room area, certifying tools, repairing tools, and other duties as required to maintain tool program. Your mission is to promote a positive culture by accomplishing safety and quality goals to achieve customer satisfaction and profitable business results.

• You willbring1+ years of experience as a machinist to KONE.

• Experience with 5S and LEAN is a plus

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Hiring requirements

• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

• Ability to use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, socket wrenches, hammers, pliers, impact wrench, wire cutters, tape measure and other job-related tools.

• Gross motor ability to kneel, crouch, bend, recline, and climb in a variety of maintenance related duties and to drive a forklift.

• English proficiency to perform troubleshooting and verify parts orders via telephone and or email.

• Communication skills necessary to interact with employees, management, and outside contractors.

• Software skills necessary to understand and operate email system and tool tracking software.

Salary range in a single location:

The hiring range for this role is $21.39/hour – $28/hour. The compensation package offered will depend on their ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.

Variable Compensation

KONE Annual Bonus plan at 5% Target Incentive based on achievement of company goals and individual goals or

KONE Sales Incentive based on achievements of sales targets.
