Job summary

Milwaukee Valve Company, LLC. is seeking a skilled Tool Room Technician to learn operation and setup of various toolmaking machines used toproduce tooling and machined parts.

You will solder/braze tooling, sharpen and grind shop tooling and interpret blueprints and specifications with accuracy. You must use micrometers, calipers, fixed gauges, optical comparators, presetters and other measuring equipment, and maintain tool-room machines with oiling and lubrication while ensuring cleanliness and

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges and optical comparators.
• Ability to lift 30–40 lbs, occasionally 70 lbs with or without assistance.
• Maintain and oil/lubricate tool-room machines; keep area clean and safe.

Responsibilities

• Learn operation and setup of toolmaking machines producing tooling and machined parts.
• Solder/braze tooling, sharpen and grind shop tooling.
• Work with the Tool Grinder Trainee and assist as needed.
