Job summary

Plastic Products Co in Seneca, SC is seeking a Toolmaker Class A to design, fabricate, and maintain precision tools and molds for high-volume production. You will collaborate with engineering and production to troubleshoot tooling issues and ensure tooling meets exact specifications.

The role requires proficiency in reading drawings, operating manual and CNC machinery, and knowledge of machining processes. Journeyman certification is preferred, and this is a full-time on-site position offering

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited toolmaking apprenticeship or equivalent experience in precision toolmaking.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Experience operating manual and CNC machine tools.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment to produce high-quality tooling components.
Perform detailed inspections and measurements to verify tooling accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to identify tooling issues and implement effective solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
Maintain accurate documentation of tooling maintenance, repairs, and modifications to ensure traceability and compliance with company standards.
