Monroechamber in O’Fallon, MO is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to build, repair, and modify dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and tooling in a hands-on shop. You’ll work with lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools in a production environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of toolmaking experience, technical training or an associate degree, and strong blueprint reading, measurement, and problem-solving skills. OT may be available on Fridays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of toolmaking experience.
• Technical training or an associate degree preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading, machining, measurement and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications and visualize materials and machines to fabricate parts.
• Set up and operate machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to manufacture parts.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measurement devices and gauges.
• Assemble parts and fit into assemblies and mechanisms.
• Develop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and drawings.
• Heat-treat tools or parts as required.
• Other duties as required.
