Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Tool & Die Maker for 2nd shift to troubleshoot tooling, modify prints with engineers, and ensure production tooling readiness. You will maintain tool room organization and work with maintenance on preventive tasks.

The role requires 3+ years in Tool and Die, with CAD and MS Office familiarity. A sign-on bonus and potential overtime are available, with travel minimal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Toolmaker or 5 years experience in Tool and Die is preferred.
• Apprenticeship program completion is nice to have.
• Minimum 3 years Tool and Die maker experience required.
• Willing to learn CAD and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot tooling problems at presses.
• Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.
• Work on production equipment to maintain production.
• Requisition supplies and spare parts for tool room and dies and keep areas organized.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Work with outside tradesmen as required.
• Available for overtime as required.
• Available for training as required.
• Suggest methods of improvement (Continuous Improvement Plan).
• Interpret prints for tooling modifications, accuracy, and/or improvements.
• Work with Engineers to create and/or modify prints to reflect changes.
• Perform Preventive maintenance by assignment.
• Willing to accept other job duties from next level leader.
