Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Tooling Tech in Chattanooga, TN to set up Roll Fed and inline equipment, train operators, and continuously improve tooling processes. The role requires hands-on maintenance, collaboration with multiple teams, and a focus on efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician/tooling role in a manufacturing environment
• Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls
• Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required
• Experience operating forklift equipment

Responsibilities

• Set-up and line out all Roll Fed and inline equipment
• Train less experienced operators on safe methods
• Update and revise machine training manuals and JSA’s
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance and PM tasks
• Participate in equipment upgrade/replacement decisions
• Collaborate with sales and tool design to ensure tools run on WNA equipment
• Work with Process Engineers to maximize production efficiency and reduce scrap
• Make adjustments to tooling setup for production
