Job summary
Magna Exteriors is seeking a Regular / Permanent machinist to analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, and operate machine tools at our facility in South Carolina. You will participate in the fabrication and repair of metal dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and related hand tools.
Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with tooling setup, die modification for engineering changes, and a willingness to mentor apprentices.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes specifications, lays-out metal stock, sets-up and operates machine tools.
- Fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metal dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures.
- Modifies dies to conform to engineering changes.
- Provides assistance and guidance to apprentices.
