Job summary

Magna International's Cosma division in Piedmont, SC, is seeking a Tool & Die Maker with strong experience in assembly tooling and die construction. You will operate machine tools (Tig/Mig, arc welders, lathes, milling), verify dies meet specs, troubleshoot production, and set up tooling while maintaining QS9000 compliance.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent and a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship, plus 7 years of related experience; on-site work with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship program.
• Minimum 7 years' experience with assembly tooling and 5 years in new tool construction and robot tooling.
• Hemming die or clinch tool experience required; metrology experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools (Tig/Mig/Arc welders, lathes, milling machines).
• Verify dies and tools meet specifications by measuring dimensions and clearances.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Set up tooling in the department.
• Follow safety, QS9000 standards and procedures.
• Maintain tooling quality standards and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
