Job summary
IAC Group in Arlington, TX is seeking a seasoned Tooling Supervisor to lead our 1st Shift Tool Room operations at our automotive manufacturing facility. You will supervise Toolmakers and technicians, manage maintenance schedules, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in mold making and tooling maintenance with strong leadership experience, knowledge of IATF 16949, CMMS proficiency, and a track
Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years in mold making, mold repair, tooling maintenance, or tool room operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years supervisory or leadership experience in Tool Room/Maintenance/Manufacturing.
- Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily Tool Room activities incl. Toolmakers, Mold Technicians, Apprentices.
- Manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and tooling changes.
- Ensure molds, tooling, fixtures, gauges are maintained to support production schedules.
- Monitor tooling performance and downtime; drive root-cause analysis and improvements.
- Lead tool room troubleshooting across mold, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
- Coordinate mold changes, tool launches, and new program introductions.
