Job summary

Heitkamp & Thumann is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to support the manufacture and supply of deep drawn components. You will initiate tooling standardization, refurbishment, and drive continuous improvement from start to finish.

The role emphasizes ownership of tooling in service, press cleanliness, and data-driven improvements. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in toolmaking, deep drawing experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Toolmaking discipline.
• Deep drawing experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work varying shifts for a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Support tooling standardization and refurbishment to improve efficiency and quality.
• Take ownership of tooling in service and maintain press cleanliness.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement from start to finish.
• Track improvement tasks and participate in problem solving meetings.
• Maintain data records and documentation related to tooling and processes.
