A leading company is seeking a Tooling Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining a die library and assisting with repairs. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate various machine shop equipment. JOB SUMMARY: The Tooling Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing a vast die library and assisting maintenance with various repair projects where machining is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Assess problems or maintenance needed on a tool
• Repair worn or broken tool and dies as required
• Maintain the existing die library in good condition
• Operate a variety of metal working machines
• Work with other departments on tooling problems, quality improvement and projects
• Keep work area clean at all times
• Satisfy department operating procedures to quality standards
• Assist maintenance department where machining is required
• Organize and maintain departmental equipment and supplies
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Journeyman’s card in tool and die building a plus
• Ability to operate various machine shop equipment
• Ability to read and work off mechanical prints
• Good math and computer skills
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Experience in working with in-house operating software
SHIFT/SITE:
Monday-Friday/ 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm/ 111 Business Park Drive, Utica, NY
WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$16.50 per hour - $18.50 per hour
($34,320 - $38,480 annually)
