Job summary

Tecomet Inc. is seeking a Tool Maker I to design, build, and modify fixtures, gauges, and tooling to blueprint specifications. You will assemble parts, verify fit, and revise tooling in collaboration with engineering. Proficiency in CAD/CAM, CNC machining, and basic measuring tools is expected.

You will operate diverse equipment, read blueprints including GD&T, and help maintain safety and housekeeping standards in a fast‑paced environment. Fork truck operation may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education.
• Knowledge of conventional and CNC machining, milling, grinding, turning, and measuring equipment such as a CMM.
• Ability to obtain fork truck license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the designing and building of fixtures, gauges and tooling to blueprint specifications.
• Assembles and checks components for proper fit and clearance.
• Reworks fixtures, gauges and tooling to make necessary repairs or modifications in design.
• Works with engineering on any suggested print and document updates and or revisions.
