Armada Staffing Group seeks a Tool / Fixture Maker to analyze blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to design and construct fixtures, tools, and machine parts. The role requires strong toolroom machining skills, math abilities, and the ability to work independently while upholding safety and quality standards.

The candidate will operate mills, lathes, grinders, and other toolroom equipment; apply geometry/trigonometry to determine cutting paths; verify tolerances with precision instruments;

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED; toolmaker experience required.
• Previous toolmaker experience in industrial/manufacturing environment; aerospace preferred.
• Proficient at operating mills, lathes, grinders, and saws.
• Strong shop math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to design and construct fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
• Selects raw materials and processes to meet specifications.
• Operates toolroom machines (milling, lathe, grinder, saws, etc.).
• Applies geometry and trigonometry to determine cutting paths.
• Modifies machines to control speed, feed, or cut path to ensure quality.
• Verifies tolerances with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, sine plates, etc.).
• Documents actions by reporting labor in the ERP system.
• Adheres to AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment; supports continuous improvement.
• Communicates with Engineering and Management; demonstrates dependability and initiative.
