Job summary

OPW, a Dover company, seeks a Tool Room Attendant in Whitsett, NC to support machining operations by ensuring CNC operators have correct tooling and components to complete production orders.

You will prepare tooling kits, maintain inventory, coordinate with CNC operators, Toolmakers, and Engineering to minimize downtime, and keep the tool crib organized and safe. This role prioritizes reliability, basic computer skills, and MRPs usage.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with CNC terminology, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with inventory management or MRP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist CNC operators and technicians with tooling requests and determine tooling needs.
• Identify, locate, pull, and issue correct tooling for machining operations.
• Prepare and stage complete tooling kits for new production orders and maintain tooling inventory.
