Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment including tooling, metal working, or fabricating with reading and understanding mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to document records accurately under tight timeframes
• Ability to demonstrate visual inspections for safety, equipment and processes, parts and welding processes
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blue prints and schematics

Responsibilities

• Creates, tests, and introduces tools, jigs, and other engineering devices from shop drawings to improve the required manufacturing processes.
• Develops methods and fabricates jigs and fixtures to assemble parts and assure quality of finished product.
• Assists in the preparation of detailed operation sheets which designate materials, machine tools, tooling, die and fixture requirements for each operation.
• Presents engineering changes, processing and method changes, and changed shop conditions for review.
• Participates in review of operation sheets, flow charts, tools, dies and fixtures, and facilities requirements with the engineering staff, shop supervision, and other plant management.
• Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met and maintained.
