Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking a Tooling Fabrication & Die Maintenance Specialist for 1st shift (6:30AM-3:00PM) in Fort Worth, TX. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain dies, punches, and fixtures to keep stamping operations efficient.

Responsibilities include setting up shop equipment, manufacturing tools, and upholding safety standards. A background in machinist work and blueprints is required, with CNC knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum verifiable machinist experience or Technical Diploma.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Basic maintenance capability for shop equipment.
• Ability to interpret safety procedures and follow them.
• Team-oriented with ability to make decisions.

• Carry out die repairs to restore tooling performance and part quality.
• Set up and run shop equipment—milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and more—under general supervision.
• Design and manufacture tools and fixtures that enable new product introductions.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Tool & Die Supervisor.
• Uphold OSHA and internal safety requirements at all times.

About The Role

As a Tooling Fabrication & Die Maintenance Specialist on our 1st shift (6:30AM-3:00PM), you’ll be responsible for minor repair and maintenance of dies, punches, tool steel, and fixtures—keeping our stamping operations consistent and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose die issues via thorough inspection and accurate measurement to determine repair strategies.
• Carry out die repairs to restore tooling performance and part quality.
• Set up and run shop equipment—milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and more—under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with standard shop math
• Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Basic maintenance capability for shop equipment
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and thrive in a team setting
• Must have draw die experience
