Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Iuka, MS is hiring for Associate/Tooling Engineer Level 1/2 to design, manage, and oversee tooling used in composite part fabrication for aerospace applications. The role supports design, fabrication, inspection, and vendor coordination within an IPT structure.

Candidates must have STEM degrees and be able to obtain DoD clearance and SPA; B shift work will be required once cleared, with overtime and potential for a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM required or higher; related experience may apply.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government clearance and SPA within reasonable time.
• Shift flexibility to start on A shift and transition to B shift upon clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides disposition for discrepant tooling.
• Supervises and supports critical production builds involving tooling processes.
• Facilitates communication between A- and B-shift operations for continuous production flow.
• Supports metrology, tooling transportation and tooling maintenance for program execution.
• Manages tooling projects from concept thru implementation.
• Works with vendors to ensure successful fabrication of tooling.
• Witnesses/approves source inspection of tooling at supplier locations.
