Job summary

Responsibilities include defining tooling requirements, procuring equipment, and leading Kaizen-driven quality improvements to support world-class manufacturing in automotive operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field (e.g., BSME) and/or Journeyman status with 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Strong problem solving skills and clear communication in English.
• Proficient with MS Office and related software for reporting and planning.

Responsibilities

• Determine complete tooling requirements, including costs and vendor quotations.
• Procure tooling and equipment needed for production.
• Specify machines, tooling, fixtures and gauges for each operation.
• Determine take time and pieces per hour for production.
• Assist in design of special tools and oversee equipment installation.
• Manage engineering changes for production parts after launch.
• Provide time studies for labor cost estimates and plan start/changeover dates.
• Investigate production issues and work with team leads to implement improvements.
• Drive continuous quality improvements using Kaizen and related tools.
• Participate in early engineering phases to define tooling for complex operations.
• Perform general process engineering duties and manage complex projects.
