Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services is seeking a Tooling Engineer to oversee the complete part process from tooling to installation and quality improvement. You will manage tooling requirements, procure equipment, specify machines, and coordinate changes through launch to support world-class parts production.

Responsibilities include time studies, labor cost planning, and collaborating with team leaders to drive Kaizen-driven quality improvements and efficient production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or Journeyman with 5+ years manufacturing experience; or 10+ years technical/manufacturing experience.
• Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment and strong problem solving skills.
• Strong English language competency with good communication skills.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Determine complete tooling requirements including costs estimates and vendor quotations.
• Procure all required tooling and equipment.
• Specify the type and quantity of machines, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
• Determine take time and pieces per hour for production.
• Aid in design of special tools and coordinate equipment arrangement/installation.
• Manage engineering changes for production parts after launch.
• Provide time studies for labor cost estimates and planning of start/changeover/production capacity.
• Investigate customer and production issues; work with team leaders to drive improvements.
• Engage in continuous quality improvements using Kaizens and related tools.
• Contribute to early engineering phases to determine tooling for complex operations.
• Perform general process engineering duties and complex projects.
