Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a 12-month on-site contract. The role requires 3+ years of CATIA design experience, GD&T knowledge, and ability to design tooling, fixtures, and components to manufacturability standards.

The engineer will coordinate tool design with customers, develop test plans, and drive process improvements across all project phases while working on-site in Palmdale. Strong communication and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with industry standards related to detailed drawing requirements (ANSI, ISO, etc.).
• Knowledgeable in designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and proper application to drawings.
• Strong writing, communication and ability to manage technical details.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
