Ashton North LLC in Palmdale, CA seeks a Tooling Engineer for a onsite 12-month contract. The role focuses on coordinating tool design and fabrication, developing test plans, and driving process improvements for manufacturability.

The candidate will work with the Product Development Team to ensure tooling supports new designs, while managing all project phases from design to validation. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (understanding and usage) to properly apply drawing rules
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Pay Rate: $45-55/hr W2

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:
