Job summary

Zaddy Solutions is seeking a Tooling Engineer to join our Palmdale, CA team on a 12-month contract. This on-site role requires US citizenship and offers hourly W2 pay in the $45-$55 range.

You will coordinate tool and fixture design requirements, develop test plans, improve processes, and assist product development to ensure manufacturability, while managing all project phases from design to validation. Qualifications include 3+ years of Catia design experience, GD&T proficiency, familiarity

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience.
• Familiar with ANSI/ISO detailed drawing standards.
• Knowledgeable in designing castings, stampings, and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and application on drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
