Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Tooling Engineer to support our Palmdale tooling department on site. The contract position spans 12 months and requires strong Catia design skills and GD&T knowledge to manage tool fabrication and testing.

The role involves coordinating design requirements, developing test plans, and guiding manufacturability improvements with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling performance meets product specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with advanced 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiar with ANSI/ISO drawing standards.
• Experience designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge to apply drawing rules.
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical details.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

12 Month Contract

Pay Rate: $45-55/hr W2

Onsite

US Citizenship Required

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
