Job summary

Radiant Industries, an El Segundo, CA-based startup, is pursuing portable nuclear microreactors. The role focuses on engineering production tooling for fabrication and assembly, enabling semi-remote fueling/defueling, and sourcing tooling components from trusted suppliers.

You will collaborate closely with design and operations teams, bring hands-on problem solving, and help advance manufacturing tooling for a first-in-kind reactor program in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with tooling design for fabrication and assembly of complex mechanisms.
• Ability to work with design and operations teams across functions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design and manufacturing engineers to develop innovative production tooling for fabricating and assembling complex mechanisms and structures.
• Design, analyze, and fabricate tooling that enables semi-remote operations for fueling/defueling of the reactor.
• Identify and develop appropriate suppliers for tooling components, fabrication.
