Job summary

United Pharma in the United States is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support injection mold tooling projects from design and installation through commissioning, validation, and production startup.

You will work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure tooling meets manufacturing and quality requirements, and you will provide hands-on support for tooling, molds, automation, fixtures, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or tooling.
• Hands-on experience with injection mold tooling design, installation, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with injection molding automation, end-of-arm tooling, assembly fixtures, metrology fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and experience creating or updating 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and detailed technical drawing practices.
• Experience designing, fabricating, assembling, or servicing complex injection molding tools.
• Basic understanding of electronic wiring assemblies, sensors, and related tooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Support injection mold tooling projects including design, receipt, transfer, installation, commissioning, and production startup.
• Support validation of injection molds and automated molding systems by developing, reviewing, and executing validation documentation.
• Troubleshoot injection molds, molding equipment, automation, and tooling-related issues.
• Provide technical expertise on injection mold design, operation, and performance to Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings for molds, end-of-arm tooling, assembly fixtures, metrology fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
• Maintain injection mold and hot-runner drawings, CAD files, bills of materials, revisions, and related technical documentation.
• Support engineering investigations, nonconformances, CAPA, corrective actions, and change requests.
• Assist with the design, fabrication, assembly, and servicing of custom tooling, components, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
• Manage tooling inventory, spare steel, consumables, incoming-tool documentation, and inventory records.
