Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing’s Advanced Tooling Engineer will support the launch team, ensuring tooling and gage specifications meet deadlines and quality requirements for 100% stampings. The role covers GD&T, tool design coordination, supplier engagement, and archival of tool CAD data throughout the project lifecycle.

Based in Walker, MI, this 1st shift position entails coordinating die tooling from quoting to production, maintaining schedules, and ensuring Challenge specifications are met for

Qualifications

• GDT creation and interpretation
• Coordinate tool design and build
• Review sample requirements and part layouts
• Maintain tooling project schedules and timelines
• Track weekly issues and ensure closure
• Verify part quality throughout program

Responsibilities

• Support creation of GD&T.
• Coordinate tool design, build and design reviews.
• Create SOWs and secure signed SOWs from suppliers.
• Track tooling and gage status from PO to release.
• Ensure die shop and gage shop timelines meet due dates.
• Attend open issues meetings and report die/gage status.
