Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Tooling Engineer (Palmdale, CA) for a 12-month contract on-site. The role supports our Tooling department by coordinating tool and fixture design, reviewing drawings, and driving manufacturability improvements.

You will manage all project phases from design through fabrication and validation, develop test plans, and collaborate with product development to ensure robust tooling solutions that meet quality standards and production targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ISO and industry standards for detailed drawings.
• Experience in designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and proper application to drawings.
• Strong writing, communication and technical-detail management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
