Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an on-site Palmdale Tooling Engineer to support the Tooling department. You will coordinate tool design and fabrication with customers, develop and execute test plans, and drive process improvements to ensure manufacturability of new products.

The role requires advanced Catia 3D design experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office. You will oversee all phases of tool design projects from concept to validation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with industry standards related to drawings (ANSI, ISO, etc.).
• Knowledge of designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and ability to apply rules to drawings.
• Strong writing/communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers internal and external.
• Coordinate/develop and execute test plans.
• Develop and evaluate manufacturing process improvements.
• Assist Product Development Team with new designs to ensure manufacturability and validate processes/technology.
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for tool and equipment fabrication in line with shop instructions and visual aids.
• Manage all phases of projects: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
