Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Iuka, MS to support C shift on a 3/12 schedule. You will tackle production issues across layup, automation, and inspection, while developing and testing improved methods.

Collaboration with Design Engineering is essential to ensure feasible manufacturing solutions. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in engineering or manufacturing, plus experience with RCCA, GD&T, and MS Office tools; DoD clearance and PAR eligibility are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 0+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance and PAR.
• Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with RCCA tools and root-cause/corrective action processes.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with manufacturing personnel to tackle production issues across layup, curing, machining, and inspection.
• Develop processes by studying requirements, design, modify, and test production methods.
• Collaborates with Design Engineering to ensure practical manufacturing solutions.
• Maintain and distribute shift issue logs for communication between shifts.
• Author and audit shop floor procedures and EWIs.
• Perform RCCA activities to permanently eliminate defects.
• Troubleshoot production/equipment/tooling issues and implement robust improvements.
