Responsibilities include:

1. Manage the molded part feasibility process, including participation in product design reviews and design sign-off.
2. Review and understand mold flow simulation analyses during design evolution.
3. Manage and resolve feasibility issues, including GD&T and SC/CC requirements, supporting red flag meetings as needed.
4. Review and approve all plastic part designs.
5. Ensure appropriate tool design development for parts.
6. Participate in tool design reviews, incorporating plant needs and connectors.
7. Ensure compliance with company tooling standards.
8. Sign off on all injection mold tool designs.
9. Troubleshoot tooling problems and implement repairs and engineering changes.
10. Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
11. Maintain plant safety and housekeeping standards.
12. Apply analytical problem-solving techniques.
13. Understand injection molding processes, molded part feasibility, and tool design.
14. Experience with injection molding equipment, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
15. Proven mechanical aptitude for problem solving.
16. Experience with various injection molding tool technologies (e.g., RPT, Aluminum, P-20, mold max, cooling, turbulent flow).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in mold design and automotive industry.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Completion of formal apprenticeship as Journeymen Level Tool and Die Maker is preferred.
