Job summary

US-Tool-Group- is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support major automotive manufacturing customers at sites in Sharonville, OH, Livonia, MI, and Dearborn, MI. The role emphasizes machining expertise, tooling performance checks, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize tooling and processes.

You will troubleshoot product applications, interpret complex prints, and contribute to cost-saving productivity improvements while working with tool manufacturers and unions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of machining experience.
• Experience in high volume manufacturing a plus.
• Ability to interpret complex prints and models.
• Strong mathematical skills and data analysis ability.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tooling performance checks and determine tooling needs with production teams.
• Troubleshoot product application issues and provide application support for new products.
• Propose and implement tooling, processes, and tooling applications for cost savings and productivity improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve existing tooling and processes.
