Brightpath Associates LLC in Farmington, CT seeks an experienced Tool & Die Maker with hands-on expertise in progressive tooling, die setup, troubleshooting, and production. You will support tooling maintenance, improve manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and meet production schedules.

The role requires reading blueprints, applying ISO/ SPC knowledge, and applying Lean methods. You will collaborate with supervisors, guide teammates, and follow safety and quality standards to drive

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on tooling setup and production.
• Strong knowledge of progressive dies and metal stamping.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and SPC.
• Understanding of Lean methodologies (Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S).
• Knowledge of concurrent engineering and DFMA.

Responsabilités

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot progressive, compound, and secondary tooling.
• Ensure tooling quality via first-piece inspections and quality submissions.
• Coordinate tooling projects with supervisors to avoid conflicts.
• Support tooling component inventory standardization.
• Meet tooling and fixture cost estimates and deadlines.
• Assist with project estimates and manufacturing improvements.
• Support metal stamping and four-slide programs.
• Identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
• Update job travelers for process or operational changes.
• Follow quality, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
• Support and guide other team members when required.
