Job summary

Judge Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineer – Manufacturing Tooling II/III on a 6-month contract in Merritt Island, FL. The role focuses on designing tooling for production, developing CAD drawings, and managing tooling projects from concept through commissioning.

You will apply GD&T and FBD analyses, work with Creo/Windchill, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to optimize safety, cost, quality, and delivery. Strong tooling experience is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with tooling design, fabrication, and procurement.
• Proven experience with CAD-based design software for modeling and drafting.
• Experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill CAD/PDM systems.
• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals related to mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Ability to create free-body diagrams, identify load cases, and perform basic hand calculations for common failure modes.
• Three or more years of direct manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and release CAD models and drawings for simple tooling per ASME Y14.5.
• Address tooling challenges including fixtures, material handling, rotisseries, and weldments.
• Manage tooling projects from concept to commissioning with vendors and fabrication.
• Set procurement priorities and communicate them to the team.
• Support repair and rework activities and perform root cause analyses.
