Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer for an on-site contract role in Rocket Park, FL. You will design tooling, manage projects, and collaborate across teams to ensure tooling solutions meet production needs and quality standards.

The role requires CAD tooling experience, Creo Parametric, GD&T, and hands-on manufacturing knowledge. Passion for spaceflight and a commitment to safety are essential, with a focus on delivering reliable tooling for critical programs.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Experience with tooling design, fabrication, and procurement.
Proven CAD-based design experience for modeling and drafting.
Experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill CAD/PDM.
Solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and manufacturing, incl. GD&T.
Ability to create free-body diagrams, identify load cases, and do basic hand calcs.
3+ years of direct manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Design, create, and release CAD models and drawings for simple tooling per ASME Y14.5.
Solve design challenges involving fixtures, handling equipment, rotisseries, test fixtures, weldments, chambers, and custom machinery.
Manage tooling projects from concept through commissioning including vendors and fabrication.
Set procurement and fabrication priorities and communicate to the team.
Define and support repair and rework activities.
Perform root-cause analyses for nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to optimize safety, cost, quality, cycle time, and maintainability.
