Tecomet Inc. is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to design and develop new products, sustain existing ones, and create tooling/fixtures using Siemens NX.

You will work with multiple internal and external partners to ensure on-time, high-quality production while supporting continuous improvement and customer-driven innovation. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, 5 years of drafting/tool design experience, and proficiency in CAD.

Formación

• Minimum of bachelor's degree in mechanical, Biomedical or Design Engineering.
• 5 years’ experience in drafting and tool design.
• Basic understanding of machining and secondary process experience (welding, polishing, electropolish, passivation, assembly).
• Experience utilizing CAD to develop or update a product.

Responsabilidades

• Uses Siemens NX to create designs and drawings.
• Design and develop dies/tooling/fixtures for manufacturing.
• Develops BOMs and assembly methods.
• Maintains design controls through change requests to verification/validation of products.
• Initiates, processes, and reviews Engineering Change Notices.
• Develops drafting/design standards to increase efficiency.
• Assists with design of gauges, fixtures, and tooling.
• Implements cost reduction with manufacturing to reduce scrap and waste.
• Performs design verification and analysis as needed.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of existing products.
• Provides manufacturing liaison to shop operations for dies/tooling/fixtures.
• Resolves manufacturing issues or helps overcome challenges.
