Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors is seeking a Design Engineer II, Tooling in Middletown, CT. The role focuses on designing, developing, maintaining, and improving tooling and fixtures for legacy fuzing products, with SolidWorks and GD&T as core skills.

The engineer will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering teams, perform 2D/3D drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring on-site work and security clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–5 years of tooling design or manufacturing engineering experience.
• SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation; GD&T proficiency.
• Experience with PDM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling and fixtures using SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Maintain and improve tooling; support production with reliability and uptime.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering teams.
• Manage small to medium tooling projects including scoping and scheduling.
• Identify opportunities to optimize tooling processes and reduce costs.
