Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking an Engineer, Tooling Design Contractor to design tooling, fixtures, and support equipment for turbine engine assembly. You will lead tooling design from concept to release, work with manufacturing for troubleshooting, and drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.

The role requires 5+ years in tooling/fixtures design in aerospace/defense, strong CAD skills (Siemens NX) and GD&T mastery. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in tooling/fixtures design within aerospace/defense.
• Experience developing 3D CAD models and released drawings.
• Experience performing tolerance stack‑up analyses.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficiency in GD&T and ASME Y14 standards.

Responsibilities

• Design assembly tooling, fixtures, and mechanical support equipment for development and production engine builds.
• Own tooling designs from concept through release, fabrication, and implementation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to troubleshoot build issues and improve process capability and ergonomics.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, tolerance analyses, and documentation.
• Perform GD&T analyses to ensure interfaces meet requirements.
• Lead design reviews and drive manufacturability and cost improvements.
• Provide technical support during tooling fabrication, inspection, and production implementation.
• Manage multiple projects to meet schedules and manufacturing needs.
