The Tooling Engineer 3 ensures the design and development of tools, test equipment, and prototypes required during research, development, and the industrialization of new products. This role also manages the continued operations of existing tooling and testing equipment in Production. The engineer leads the development team to ensure tools, test equipment, and prototypes are designed and built according to program commitments, quality, safety, and cost objectives. They lead supply chain decisions regarding complex make versus buy options and work with suppliers on technical aspects to meet testing requirements. They also define and manage maintenance, storage, and spare parts protocols for tools.
