Job summary

Otis Worldwide Corporation in Florence, SC is seeking a Tool Technician to receive, inspect, assemble, rebuild, test, and package equipment and components while following established procedures and safety standards. You will support inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and continuous operational efficiency at the Tool Facility.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing quality checks, and repairing hoists and related equipment on first shift.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications and standard work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• PIV operation experience/certification.
• Basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting concepts.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, inspect, rebuild and test equipment and components per manufacturer requirements and company standards.
• Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications and parts lists.
• Position and fit parts using measurements, templates, gauges and hand tools.
• Verify completed work by inspecting and measuring components for quality and specifications.
• Rebuild and test hoists, safety block stops, false cars and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and basic electrical issues during inspection and testing.
