Job summary

Hahn Systems seeks a dedicated Tool Technician to act as a liaison between customers and the company, repairing and maintaining customer tools, entering orders, and performing warehouse tasks with accuracy and safety. The role combines warehouse and office duties in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of tools and repair processes, prior customer service or warehouse experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance for customers.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and read schematics.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and recommend solutions.
• Process orders and data entry including quotes, shipping, tendering, and information updates in the system.
• Load and unload trucks and receive orders.
• Pull orders and prepare items for shipment; stock upkeep.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email; resolve complaints as needed.
• Support Sales and Service teams as required.
• Assist with warehouse inventory and other duties as assigned.

The Tool Technician position will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the customer and company. Success in this role relies on providing excellent customer service through repairing and maintaining customer tools, timely order entry, and executing safe and accurate warehouse work.

Responsibilities

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance for customers
• Diagnose mechanical problems- ability to read schematics
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and recommend solutions
• Order and data entry including quotes, shipping, tendering, and information updates in computer system
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Receiving orders
• Pulling orders and preparing items for shipment
• Putting up stock
• Phone and e-mail inquiries.
• Investigate customer complaints and provide resolution
• Identify customer needs and provide product solutions
• Support the Sales team as required including walk-in customers
• Support the service department as required
• Assist with warehouse inventory
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• knowledge of tool and repair processes
• Previous experience in customer service and/or warehouse roles
• Must be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a professional manner in person, on the phone and in e-mail correspondence
• Basic math, creative problem solving and communication skills
• Computer skills including MS Office applications, internet, and Epicor Prophet 21
• Demonstrate good business sense
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• 1-2 Years of experience preferred
• High School Diploma/GED preferred

This role works in both warehouse and office environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift up to 20 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. While in a warehouse setting, the employee may be exposed to the outdoor weather temperature and loud noise.
