Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to oversee daily operations, maintain tooling, and lead a safety-focused team.

This role requires 5+ years in a tool room with at least 2 in supervision, GD&T, blueprint reading, and experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM.

A technical certification or associate degree is preferred, and CAD/CAM familiarity is a plus as you partner with production and engineering to drive tool improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or an Associate's degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in a tool room, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM.
• Strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools.
• Experience leading and mentoring a team.
• CAD/CAM software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all tools.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address tooling needs and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
