About The Role
Basic Purpose
Set-up and operate all Manual/ Conversational and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders (OD, ID, & surface), key-seater, EDM, drill presses, and band saws, to ensure Manufacturing, IG, and Assembly Production operate at optimum levels. Other tasks include servicing housing and gear department fixtures, assisting at the Service Gate for the needed parts from the Tool Room inventory stock, and tool settings. Must be willing to grow with the company as we expand our capabilities.

Education/Experience
Applicable certifications and/or at least 10 years of experience as a machinist.

- Experienced Cutting and Grinding Gears
- Experienced with machining parts up to 10K lbs.
- Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with continuous interruptions.
- Able to work with design and service engineers to repair or modify any parts needed
Top Actual Tasks
- Set up and run all Tool Room equipment including Grinding, Turning, and Milling Machines.
- Program all CNCs (G code and Conversational).
- Fully service and troubleshoot all Fixtures within the Manufacturing facility.
- Assist with the Tool Room’s service door as fellow employees are requiring components and machining assistance to keep manufacturing processes moving forward.
- Rigging on parts and material up to 10k lbs.
