Job summary

Fisher Dynamics is seeking a 2nd Shift ToolRoom Leader for our Sterling Heights, MI facility. This role leads the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of progressive dies to support production, requiring strong mechanical ability and problem solving.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience and holds a valid driver’s license, hi-lo license, and overhead crane license, with knowledge of ISO14001/IATF16949. Full-time, on-site position with hands-on supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shifts Tool & Die Team.
• Oversee manufacturing, repair and maintenance of progressive dies to support production.
• Operate basic metrology instruments and shop equipment such as grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, etc.
• Troubleshoot die issues in and out of the press.
• Calculate speeds and feeds and perform machine offsets.

Fisher Dynamics is currently seeking a 2nd Shift ToolRoom Leader for our Sterling Heights, MI facility. This position is responsible for leading the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of progressive dies to support production

• Strong mechanical ability and problem solving skills sufficient to perform fabrication and build activities
• Knowledge of cutting, forming, milling, grinding, assembly, tool steel composition, tool sharpening, hardness testing, machine repair and set-up, and metal fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot die issues in and out of the press
• Lead the shifts Tool & Die Team.
• Operate basic metrology instruments, grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, optical comparator, and EDM machine.
• Ability to calculate speeds and feeds and perform machine offsets

Experience:

10 plus years of experience

Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment. Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move throughout the plant, including second story areas.
