Job summary

Fisher Dynamics is seeking a 2nd Shift ToolRoom Leader for our Sterling Heights, MI facility. This role leads the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of progressive dies to support production, requiring strong mechanical ability and problem solving.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience and holds a valid driver’s license, hi-lo license, and overhead crane license, with knowledge of ISO14001/IATF16949. Full-time, on-site position with hands-on supervision.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license, hi-lo license and overhead crane license.
• Knowledge of ISO14001/IATF16949.
• Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees and suppliers.
• Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required.
• Ability to work effectively with people.
• The working environment includes typical manufacturing conditions with frequent visual effort and movement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shifts Tool & Die Team.
• Oversee manufacturing, repair and maintenance of progressive dies to support production.
• Operate basic metrology instruments and shop equipment such as grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, etc.
• Troubleshoot die issues in and out of the press.
• Calculate speeds and feeds and perform machine offsets.
