Job summary

OTTO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Tool Room Supervisor to lead tooling operations in our stamping production environment. You will supervise die design, coordinate die changeovers, train apprentices, and ensure tooling quality and maintenance to maximize uptime.

Desirable candidates have 10+ years in Tool and Die, stamping experience, and at least 3 years of supervision, with strong knowledge of progressive dies, SPC, and inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in Tool and Die.
• Stamping Production experience required.
• Minimum 3 years as a supervisor.
• Knowledge of progressive die design.
• Knowledge of SPC.
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
• Ability to use various inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of tool steels and stamping materials.
• Must be available for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Supervise die design and maintenance.
• Schedule production and die tryouts with Pressroom.
• Train tool and die apprentices.
• Build, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive dies.
• Maintain tooling records for preventative maintenance.
• Assist in design of part manufacturability.
• Ensure tooling quality from stamping department.
• Quote tooling costs.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
