Job summary

OTTO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to lead tool development and debugging of new dies. The role requires blueprint reading, SPC knowledge, and experience with CAD data, CNC mills, and EDM.

Qualifications

• Completed Tool and Die Apprenticeship or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of Tool and Die Maker experience with troubleshooting skills.
• Expert in Blue-Print reading with GDT.
• Basic computer skills and SPC knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance and push 200 lbs on carts.
• CNC Mill and EDM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Understand tool steels and production materials.
• Read blueprints and CAD data to construct, alter or repair tools.
• Operate Tool Room equipment.
• Fabricate tooling in stamping department.
• Maintain tooling records for preventive maintenance.
• Set up dies, material feeds, and operate punch press to trial tools.
• Debug and troubleshoot new tooling for part approval.
• Assist with other related duties as required.
